Primrose House:
A number of people have come to Scott Homes hoping for a quality, energy-efficient, low-maintenance home. The challenge is budget; they can’t afford to build one of those “show houses” we usually have on our home tours.
We think everyone who is ready to build a house should be able to build a good, quality, healthy home. So, in response to your interest – and your budget – we came up with a
good floor plan that fits what most people have asked for.
Give Scott a call to schedule an appointment or to get more details.

How the Primrose House Compares:
The Primrose House will be built with structural insulated panels (SIPs). We have built exclusively with SIPs for over 17 years because nothing can match them for cost, strength and performance. The table below gives basic facts on the cost benefits of building with SIPs
| Costs per Year |

Affordable Land:
It is definitely a buyers’ market for land right now. With a couple calls, we gathered a
list of available bare lots that are all under $70,000.
There are plenty more lots out there and we’ll be adding to our map frequently.
Click here if you want to be notified of map updates. Type "Map Update" in the subject line.
Disclaimer (because there has to be one): We have not gone out to view the properties on the map ourselves. We don’t know if you’ll like them. We don’t know exactly what it would cost to build on them (permitting, utilities, etc.). We only know that they are $70,000 or less and that they are for sale.
AND we are delighted to help you with your lot selection.

The Math:
Banks out there
are loaning for new home building. Our friend Barbara Whitlow at Olympia Federal gave us some great information to share with you. She sent informational flyers on 30 year loans for $250K with a
10% down payment and a
20% down payment.
How did we arrive at the $252K price? Here’s our math:
| Building the Primrose House |
$152K |
| Utilities/Permits/Tax/Site work |
$30K |
| Many empty lots |
$70K (and under) |
| Total |
$252K |

Warnings and Disclaimers:
The Big, Pay-Attention Warning is that
there is a time limit on the price for building the Primrose House. To lock into the $152K price,
you have to commit before June 10th. Part of the reason we can offer such an affordable price is because our sub-contractors and suppliers are giving us a deal on materials and this deal ends June 10th. You have been warned.
The disclaimer is about the land. We found these properties by doing some searches and making a couple calls. We have not gone out to view the properties on the map ourselves. We don’t know if you’ll like them. We don’t know exactly what it would cost to build on them (permitting, utilities, etc.). We only know that they are $70,000 or less and that they are for sale. You are certainly under no obligation to have your home built on any of the lots
on this list.
AND of course we’ll look them over with you before you decide to buy one.
